There's so much to choose from.
I might have chose something from The Kinks, Spencer Davis Group, The Hollies and Bob Dylan.

Tayyab - thanks for your feedback. Keep it coming...

Jane - thanks for these recommendations. I haven't read The Road Home, but I have read 'The Colours' by the same author, and it's terrific, and would make a brilliant film. Highly recommended.

I'm also a fan of Numb3rs and, of course, The Apprentice (I have the same initials as Sir Alan, if not the same behaviours...! My money is on Kate...

I'm a great believer in following the recommendations of others, so I'm going to order the Swift and Ministry stuff...I'll let you know, since country and dance are not my first musical ports of call...!

Reading: The Road Home by Rose Tremain ... recommended to me and thoroughly enjoyed about the experiences of an eastern european coming to the UK for a better life, and about to start Where did it all go right? Growing up normal in the 70s by Andrew Collins.

Watching: catching up with Numb3rs season 3 and making sure the one live TV I see is The Apprentice

Listening: to too much country music - Taylor Swift at the moment, and Uncovered a Ministry of Sound 'cool cover versions' compilation ... it's great!

Regarding the above topic, I was watching countryfile on BBC last night and I liked it so much that now I'm looking for other episodes online!

I'd love to hear any of your current audio-visuals. Just post them here, ideally with comments/recommends

yes thank you ... i've taken over a class for one double a week from a staff member who couldn't control them ... am pleased to report THEY actually commented last week that they're much better behaved now than they were when I started teaching them - but its because my lessons are interesting - so somethings worked!

I'm genuinely interested in other cultures. Have any of you experiences of close links with other cultures? How many readers of this blog are from different cultural backgrounds..and might be willing to invite me to their social gatherings?!
